During sequencing, protein barcodes are translated into count files where the number of counts reflects the protein levels in a sample. This file is further processed in Olink’s NPX map software where samples are normalized and quality checked. The data is finally delivered as relative NPX (Normalized Protein Expression) values, together with a project report describing the assay and the quality of the results.
Olink insight
Bioinformatical and statistical tools for streamlined study planning and data analysis are available at Olink insight (Olink Insight — Olink®) which is an open-source proteomics knowledge hub. Olink Insight offers various layers of curated datasets to support the interpretation and utility of protein biomarker data. It enables the exploration of protein-disease associations, provides data on the natural variability of protein levels, tissue specificity, molecular functions, drug target information and much more.
